The Living Storyteller

Your RimWorld storyteller now speaks, reacts, and narrates your colony’s fate in real time.

The Living Storyteller transforms RimWorld’s classic storytellers into fully voiced, AI‑driven personalities. Every raid, tragedy, triumph, and bizarre twist is narrated dynamically using advanced text generation and natural‑sounding speech.

✨ Features
Dynamic AI Narration
Storytellers generate unique lines for every event based on context, colony state, and their personality.

Fully Voiced Storytellers
Cassandra, Randy, Phoebe, and custom personas speak aloud using high‑quality TTS voices.

Distinct Personalities
Each storyteller has a handcrafted persona prompt and voice style:

Cassandra — refined, dramatic British tone

Randy — chaotic, gritty Australian energy

Phoebe — warm, gentle, bubbly narration

You can even add your favorite story teller in yourself.

(Their personalities and voices can be changed in the mod menu,)

Supports Google, OpenAI TTS & Player2
Choose your preferred provider and voice per storyteller.
(More to come later)

RPG Dialog Integration (Optional)
Narration can appear in immersive dialog windows if you use RPG Dialog.

Event‑Aware Commentary
Narration adapts to raids, disasters, colony wealth, pawn deaths, and more.

🎮 Why Use This Mod?
The story teller you choose wont just be something in the background silently affecting gameplay. Now they will interact with you making them feel more ALIVE!

Change Note

Memory System
Storyteller now remembers events and uses them when making statements.

Modify Storyteller in Mod options
Storytellers can now be modified in the mod options rather than using the xml.

Player2 Added
Users can now use Player2 as an AI provider.

Storyteller Mood System
Storytellers now build long‑term moods based on colony events.
Their mood (anxious, chaotic, somber, confident, neutral) influences narration tone across all events.
Each storyteller has unique mood behaviors defined in XML.

Emotion‑Adaptive Narration
Storytellers now adjust their tone based on the immediate event (raids, deaths, disasters, positive events).
Events trigger emotional states like tense, chaotic, somber, or neutral, shaping how each line is delivered.
