SS WELLAND (Great lakes freighter)
The SS welland is a great lakes freighter inspired off the likes of the SS arlington
Built in 1911 as a straight deck great lakes freighter she served a peaceful career until 1923 where she struck a rock in thick fog whilst traversing one of the rivers of the sawyer islands on her way to north harbour though surviving and making it to north harbour under her own power and then in 1941 she was in a horrible storm out at sea between the sawyer islands and isle of donkk where the rough weather eventually weakened her hull to the point where it split causing the middle cargo hold to flood rapidly with water and then eventually the other holds and then the rest of the ship
she sunk in 12 minutes with 9 of her crew going down with the ship and 3 of them surviving
