Build 42.17 combat text – floating damage numbers and smooth health bars. SP + MP. No dependencies.

- Full Build 42.17 API pass -- replaced all deprecated Java-direct render calls with stable B42 Lua drawing API.
- Fixed NPC health bar detection for B42 (updated isNPC API).
- Removed dead Build 40/41 compatibility code -- cleaner and faster.
- Fixed undefined variable references in options sliders that could cause silent errors.
FEATURES
Floating Damage Numbers
- Large purple damage numbers float upward on every hit
- Critical hits use an even larger font (configurable)
- Fire damage shown in orange on burning zombies
- Healing shown in green
- Semi-transparent background behind numbers for readability
- Fully configurable: font size, color, speed, TTL, fire damage toggle
Smooth Health Bars
- Health bars render above zombies and NPCs when you hit them
- Color fades smoothly: green (full health) → yellow (mid) → red (low)
- Trailing "losing health" indicator shows damage in progress
- Bars auto-hide when target is out of range or has been idle too long
- Optional current/total HP text display (e.g. "72/100") with configurable position
- Splitscreen support -- each player gets their own overlay
- Optionally show health bars on NPC survivors
In-Game Settings
- Full options tab added to the vanilla Options menu under COMBAT TEXT
- Toggle health bars, floating numbers, and fire damage independently
- Adjust colors with an RGB color picker + alpha slider
- Configure fonts, sizes, speeds, distances, and timers
- Settings persist across sessions
COMPATIBILITY
- Build 42.17+ required
- Singleplayer and Multiplayer (dedicated server + splitscreen)
- No mod dependencies
- Should be compatible with most other mods -- only hooks combat events and Options menu
