Build a colony radio and use its gizmos to play, pause, switch stations, skip tracks, and refresh the station list.
To add music:
- Open the mod's Stations folder.
- Make one subfolder per station.
- Put your music files inside those station folders.
Example:
Stations\Country\song1.ogg
Stations\Pop\song2.mp3
To add more stations later:
- Make a new subfolder in Stations.
- Add songs to it.
- Use the radio's Refresh Stations gizmo or restart the game.
Supported formats:
- .ogg
- .mp3
- .wav
I left my two testing stations in the mod, Country and Misc, first is self-explanatory, but Misc is a mix of stuff I had downloaded and songs I kept downloading as they showed up on my recommended for testing. Just delete them if they are not your thing.
Why use this instead of a jukebox mod? This lets you listen to a specific playlist(station) and switch between rimworld music and your radio playlists, just mute rimworld music when you want the radio and pause the radio when you want rimworld music.
You can also listen to both at the same time if you're weird like that!
And you don't need to restart every time you want to add a new song, just alt tab, drop it in, and refresh your radio.
