Floating doors were too strong, so it’s time they were adjusted!
Colonists who see a floating door (a door with fewer than two adjacent structures on its sides) will receive a -5 mood penalty.
Whether a door is considered “floating” is checked when passing through it.
If the Ideology DLC is installed, a precept related to floating doors will be added.
“Hatred Wave Mode”
: You can enable it in the mod settings. Negative mood effects are multiplied by 10.
“Absolutely Unforgivable Door Mode“
: A floating door that offends a pawn immediately destroys itself — because some things cannot be forgiven.
“Psycho Door Mode“
: Floating doors that disturb a pawn trigger a random mental break; those that delight them spark a random inspiration.
“Mimic Door Mode“
: Any floating door that upsets a pawn isn't a door at all — it's a mimic, and the pawn is dead.
“Antimatter Door Mode“
: Every floating door is an antimatter trap: stepping through one triggers an explosion with a configurable blast radius
(default: 15).
