DESCRIPTION
Tougher Vehicles is a simple, highly customizable utility mod that lets you adjust how much damage your vehicle takes. Say goodbye to your car turning into paper after hitting a few zombies! Everything is designed to be "plug-and-play" without breaking core mechanics or causing conflicts with other custom vehicle mods.
KEY FEATURES
- [b]Customizable Durability:[/b] Tweak the durability multiplier for physical parts (engine, hood, doors, windows) from 2x stronger up to completely unbreakable via Sandbox Options.
- [b]Tire Protection:[/b] Set your tires to be indestructible and always fully inflated.
- [b]Battery Saver:[/b] Significantly slow down the car's battery drain rate when using the radio, heater, or headlights.
- [b]100% Safe:[/b] The battery drain setting ONLY applies to actual Car Batteries attached to the vehicle. It does NOT affect normal small batteries used for flashlights or portable electronics.
SANDBOX OPTIONS
You have full control over the mod's behavior through the Sandbox menu. The available dropdown options are:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
[b]Q: Why do my car windows still break when surrounded by a horde of zombies?[/b]
[b]A:[/b] The durability multiplier applies to every single part of the car, including the windows. However, windows in Zomboid naturally have very low base health (often just 10-20 points). Even if the mod makes them 5x or 10x tougher, the small amount of damage that gets through from constant zombie banging will eventually shatter them. They are much stronger now, but they are not invincible (unless you pick the "Unbreakable" option).
[b]Q: Why does my car still take damage when crashing into trees or buildings?[/b]
[b]A:[/b] High-speed impacts against static objects deal massive amounts of damage all at once. The mod reduces this damage significantly based on your chosen multiplier, but it doesn't completely erase it. The 2x, 5x, and 10x options make your car much tougher, but it still behaves like a realistic car.
