SARA Merlin Mk2 Helicopter

Please read the notices at the very end of the description before flying to understand the warnings this helicopter comes with. Failure to read them will possibly result in the Merlin Mk2 not behaving as you want it to. If you enjoy what I build, please like, favorite and follow my account for updates! The fuselage was made by me over 2 years ago. I am currently working on another helicopter that is fully purposed for SAR only. I will make an SARA purpose afterward. The helicopter will look about the same as the Merlin Mk2 helicopter but I made multiple decisions to make it look better and placements for my system layouts to be more practical. This is including some updated MC's that the Merlin Mk2 does not have. I understand that the Automatic Huey System does not work properly yet~ I am going to work on that as well when I can. Search And Rescue Attack Merlin Helicopter History The Merlin Mk2 was put together by both United Kingdom's Westland Helicopters and Italy's Agusta Helicopter and entered services around 2014 for troop transport, Search and Rescue and significantly boosted the United Kingdom's air-power. Start-up & Requirements 1. Get into the pilot seat 2. Turn the Systems ON 3. Turn the fuel valves ON 4. Turn the jet engine ignition ON 5. Set the Engine RPS to 20 Recommended for use of high physics detail. Medium is usable but not recommended. Low is unfliable. Infinite electric and fuel are not needed but can be on. General Information The Merlin Mk2 has an infinite generator, offering it power unless lightning strikes or the battery and generator are damaged. The Merlin has 10,640L aboard, offering intense distances with its' economic SnowFox™ Engine. The Merlin weighs 4,919kg and costs $102,211. Flight Stability The Merlin is equipped with an Altitude Hold, Compass Stabilization Controller, and a togglable Position Hold. You can turn the Higher Main Rotor Ratio on to give the Main Rotor more RPS for lifting. You can press Hotkey 5 to put the Merlin into Cruise Control, bringing the helicopter to a steady speed- press 5 again to disable. The Altitude Hold Controller will notice as soon as the Merlin reaches -2 altitude- disabling all chances of you trying to force the Merlin into the sea. The Speedometer HUD is translated in Miles Per Hour. Speed Mode Inside of the cockpit, please click on the Enable Fans button to enable the fans when in cruising mode. You will need to wait up to 5 seconds for the fans to turn on to increase your speed. Whenever you click your Up/Down arrow, the fans will disable. Armament - 14 Rocket Pods - 2x Left Door (Machine) Guns - 2x Right Door (Machine) Guns - 43x Extra Machine Gun Ammunition - 3x C4 (1x Detonator) - 4x SMG - 6x Extra SMG Ammunition The Machine Guns will be disabled if that sides' door is shut, the weapon has overheated, the weapon has been disabled, or the weapon is out of ammunition. Even though I have implemented some safety features into the guns, the chance of you hitting the helicopter is not slim- be cautious. Cargo Bay The Cargo Bay is the heart of where the crew will stay. To ensure they are safe, (in some areas) they are encased around 0.50 meter thick walls and plentiful armament equipment to their hands of disposal. Including a Huey and Cargo Bay Door and lockable sliding and tracked doors offering maximum safety. The crew can heal themselves with the given equipment in case of an emergency. Civilian Equipment You have access to a plentiful amount of equipment: -6x defibrillators -29 medical kits -6 welders -2 extinguishers -Radio Signal Locator -2 Infrared Binoculars -3 Radio -Radiation Meter -2 Strobe -3 Transponders -2 Cable -2 Hose -4 Rope -4 Glowsticks Controlling the Huey Huey Statistics You can manually and automatically control the Huey. The Huey is equipped with: 2 defibrillators, 8x Medical Kits toggleable heater, Huey Visibility Light , Ready-To-Be-Sent-Upward (RTBSU), 4x padded seats and 4x handles. Head into the center of the Cargo Bay. The panels to manually control the Huey are there on the ceiling. Huey Movement The left panel controls the Huey's general movement. There is Up/Down Winch movement, an RTBSU indicator, and Winch Length. On the Huey, if the RTBSU (Ready-To-Be-Sent-Upward) is enabled, the indicator on the left panel activates, and a buzzer will sound until the RTBSU is disabled on the Huey. Huey Doors The right controls the Huey's doors. The left side of the panel controls and displays the state of the Front Huey Door. The right side of the panel controls and displays the state of the Rear Huey Door. Huey Remote [RCU] The Huey can also be controlled by a Remote Control Unit (RCU). It is located in the cockpit underneath the seat. Switch to Channel Seven (7) to use. The controls are as listed below: The maximum signal length is 100m Hotkey 1: Automatic Huey ON/OFF (Signal must be on for at least two seconds). Hotkey 2 Huey Winch IN Hotkey 3 Huey Winch OUT Hotkey 4 Huey Doors Open / Close Automatic Huey Sequence Huey Doors will open > Winch lowers for 19 seconds > Winch waits a few seconds > Winch Raises for 19 seconds > (After 42 seconds total) Huey Doors will shut. SnowFox™ Engine The Merlin is equipped with a 4 turbine, singular jet engine. It powers the Main, Tail Rotor and rear fans. The engine can (and will rarely go over) do .93 Liters / Second. The weather the Merlin is involved in will change the engines' efficiency. The Jet ECU will notice that once the throttle is has been pulled back beyond 5.20 RPS for more than 10 seconds, it will lower the RPS to 1.70 RPS to conserve fuel. Once the throttle is pulled above 5.20 RPS, the Jet ECU will give the operator full control of the RPS again. The engine cannot survive water, meaning if the intake or any of the rotors / fans go underwater, the entire helicopter, depending on the time spent underwater, will throw the helicopter into the sea. Miscellaneous There are 8 heaters laid throughout the Cargo Bay, and a Temperature Monitor by the Left Sliding Door . There is a single heater inside of the cockpit, and a Temperature Monitor by the Cockpit Hinged Door . There is a radio by the Left Sliding Door , allowing frequencies up to 999 and transmission to others and self. Read All Before Spawn in Once some people have told me some things I need to fix, I will get on to fixing them. Flight Stability Notice As far as I know, the Merlin can withstand 100% wind from all directions. However that will increase your fuel consumption as the engine is working harder to keep the Merlin from moving from where it was commanded. It will not survive deep water, and depending on the situation, it will not survive any type of Natural Disaster unless it is far from it. Speed Mode Notice You will need to click on the Enable Fans button more than once depending on the tick the Up/Down Counter is on. Huey Notice Due to the simplicity of how RCU's are, I cannot make the hotkeys push. The Huey can sometimes get stuck whilst loading into the helicopter. If you are trying to use the Automatic Huey Mode, please try multiple times if it fails to properly get into the helicopter. Precise Collective Movement Enabling this feature will make changes to how the entire helicopter performs including its' lifting capacity. Please ensure the collective isn't overstrained. You have a strain dial on the left side of the cockpit.
