McDonnell XF-85 Goblin

McDonnell XF-85 Goblin was an experimental fighter jet developed by McDonnell Aircraft towards the end of WW2. It was meant to be deployed from the bomb bay of the Convair B-36 as a parasite fighter. Prototypes were tested in 1948, but the Goblin was cancelled shortly after. Still, it's one of the most unique fighter jets to ever fly. Some features: - Full helmet-mounted HUD displaying true airspeed, direction of flight, altitude, artificial horizon, fuel and ammo levels, and more! Also features head tracking so that the HUD is always displayed in the center, no matter where you look. maybe not historically accurate but it was too cool not to include. If you want to use my HUD code, go ahead! Just credit me in the description. - Twin machine guns with AP and incendiary ammo - they must be reloaded by hand, by reaching below the dashboard and loading ammo boxes into the spot marked in orange. There are a total of 6 spare ammo boxes, 3 for each gun. Pretty quick and easy once you get a hang of it. - Truck-based Zero Length Launch system - Since I don't have a B-36 on hand, this jet is launched from a special truck trailer instead. Enjoy!
