OSHKOSH T-3000

The Oshkosh T-3000 (fig.12-8) is a diesel-powered, six-wheeled-drive truck with an automatic
transmission. The operator controls consist of power-assisted steering, air or mechanical brakes,
transmission range selector, and in-cab controls for operating the fire-fighting system. The water storage tank has a capacity of 3,000 gallons; the AFFF concentrate tank holds 420 gallons. The roof turret has a discharge rate of 600 to 1,200 gpm and an infinitely variable pattern from straight stream to fully dispersed. The bumper turret is electric joystick controlled with auto-oscillation. The discharge rate is 300 gpm and it is also variable pattern.

SNOZZLE
The Snozzle HRET (High Reach Extendable Turret) system was developed and began production under Crash Rescue Equipment Service in Dallas Texas. In 2011 the Snozzle brand was purchased by Oshkosh Airport Products and continued production. The design of the Snozzle allows fire crews more reach in the event of a airplane crash and includes a penetrating nozzle which can be used to pierce into an aircraft fuselage to cool the interior (not applicable in stormworks).

Control of the trucks pump and drive train systems can be conducted entirely from the safety of the cab on the TI-3000. Located to the right of the driver seat (located in photo above) the pump controls can be found. To give power to the pump the PTO (driveshaft) must be activated and tank to pump must be open (to add more power run in high idle). To activate the roof mounted or bumper turret you must open their respective valves located on the far left of the pump panel.

Doors and Locations:
To open driver and passenger door grab and release either of the handles located on them.
Located just under the bumper is a hidden hose reel behind a door, to access click a button under the truck located to the left of the door.
Both pump maintenance doors have buttons located directly in the center to open.
The forward storage compartment can be opened with a switch located directly below.
Engine Compartment can be opened by an upward facing arrow button on the left side.
Both side compartments can be opened with a switch located above the first rear tire on their respective side.
