Mimic Slime - Deliria

Note: Before playing this mod, it is strongly recommended that you read the following description carefully, especially the Q&A and Attention section at the end. Attention: This mod has recently undergone a major update. For details, please check the changelog and Attention section. Introduction Mimic Slime—Deliria A masterpiece of biotechnology? Or a creation of transcendent intelligence? We don't know where these beings came from. They are vastly different from ordinary slimes, possessing exceptionally long lifespans and powerful abilities. They can completely absorb a person's body and mind, replacing them seamlessly—even those closest to the victim cannot tell the difference. Fortunately, their reproductive capacity has been greatly diminished; they can only reproduce by parasitizing hosts. The race name "Deliria" derives from the word "delirium," meaning... well, delirium. Or more bluntly—"mental derangement." What you see may not be real. The form you see a Deliria in might not be their true shape; perhaps it's a hallucination born from eroded sanity. Warning! Do not disable the cognitive filter! Deliria's Special Abilities Absorb: Completely absorb the victim, both mentally and physically. Mimicry: Perfectly imitate the absorbed person; even their closest loved ones cannot tell the difference. Parasite: The only method of Deliria reproduction. A Deliria separates a small part of herself, invades and gradually takes control of the victim, who is ultimately replaced by the slime from within. Deliria Levels: Deliria can gain Evolution Points by "forgetting"—that is, completely assimilating—an absorbed pawn, thereby leveling up. Before level 3, they cannot transform into slime-human form, and their work speed while not mimicking is reduced. Other Slimes Wild Slime: The most common slime. Fragile, docile, but highly reproductive. Giant Slime: Can swallow your pawns whole (similar to Devourer). Slime King: The largest known slime, bearing a crown on top. It appears to be the leader of a slime colony. Special Items Mimic Slime Core: The core of a Deliria, far more durable than those of other slimes. When a Deliria dies, her core remains as an item, and she will eventually regenerate—so don't worry too much about their deaths. Slime Essence: A special substance extracted from living or dead slimes, the source of their powerful self-healing ability. When a person ingests slime extract, they can gain similar regenerative powers—but beware the side effects. Slime King's Crown: Summons a hostile Slime King to attack. Defeat it for rewards. Q&A Q: How is compatibility? A: We have made special compatibility patches for some mods. I won't do compatibility myself for CE or RJW. If you want to add compatibility for other mods yourself, feel free to do so. Q: Can this be added or removed from existing saves? A: Adding mid-game can conflict with some mods and cause loop errors, so it's best not to. And It cannot be removed mid-game. Q: How do Deliria join the colony? A: Choose one of this mod's two starting scenarios, or wait a few days after starting another scenario for an event to trigger. If you want to add them to an existing save, explore on your own—try triggering special events, or just use dev mode. Q: I don't like some of the settings! A: Check the in-game mod settings—there might be something you want there. If you're still unsatisfied, please let us know. Ah, and remember—don't disable the cognitive filter! Q: I want to make an expansion mod! A: Of course you can! Feel free to use this mod's code resources. If you want to use the art assets, please inform us in advance. Attention Avoid using optimization mods that automatically delete world pawns. All absorbed pawns are stored in the world pawn pool, and removing them may cause unpredictable issues. Adding this mod to an existing save has been found to cause loop errors. If you encounter any loop errors, please first verify whether they were caused by mid-save addition. If not, please report detailed logs in the bug report section. Deliria generated using Character Editor will lose data after saving, including evolution points, absorbed pawns, etc. Please do not use Character Editor to generate Deliria, but it can be used to edit data and to use its function of saving and transferring pawns between saves. System-generated Deliria will not have such error. Not anymore! We've significantly modified the underlying logic, greatly improving the mod's compatibility! We've also optimized extensive logic, substantially reducing runtime overhead! And we've made it compatible with old saves, so you don't have to worry about save corruption at all! Using this mod's abilities on any vanilla or other mod's special pawns is not recommended, as it may cause data loss, loop errors, and other consequences.
