An upgraded version of the original AH-1 Cobra, the AH-1F features a 350 SHP T53-L-703 turboshaft engine, enhanced avionics, infrared suppressor, laser rangefinder, targeting system, and an improved 20mm M197 three-barrel Gatling gun. Designed for close air support (CAS), anti-armor operations, and escort missions, it can carry TOW missiles, Hydra 70 rockets, and machine gun pods. The AH-1F served extensively during the Cold War, Operation Desert Storm, and in peacekeeping missions. It is recognized for its narrow fuselage, agility, and combat-proven design.
