SS Albatross Medium SAR Cutter
Introducing the Albatross! She is a medium sized ship built for fast response and endurance. What she may lack in size, she makes up for with an impressive 90 kn top speed and 155 km max range! She is equipped with all the tools you might need for all your SAR missions. She features two RHIB's on the rear with an easy-to-use deployment system. There is a mission deck with several stations to monitor mission progress. The Albatross features twin turbine engines for both movement and power. While she can move and operate on a single turbine, she really shines with both running. She also features active stabilization.
STARTUP
Go to the engine room (bottom of the stairwell in the hatch door). Enable turbine 1 and set engine room throttle to 8%. One turbine on idle (8% throttle) is enough to provide power for the ship while you prepare for launch. ( one turbine is also enough to drive the ship in first gear) enable the second turbine when you are ready to sail and then you are good to go!
MOVEMENT
All movement is controlled at the helm. Release the clutch to start moving (The helm throttle at 0% will NOT cause the engines to turn off as long as the engine room throttle is set properly). 0th gear for port navigation, 1 st for slower movement, and 2 nd for real power. The ship sees peak efficiency at 55% throttle in second gear.
