Blood and Bones

The mod aims to improve the tribal experience, especially going into the mid-late game by providing better progression paths that don't involve industrial (or better) technology. TL;DR: - Extracting skulls now yields additional bones - These bones can be carved into 2 new charms (belt slot) and 2 new weapons at the new bone carving bench - Bone weapons can be bloodlinked through ideology rituals as a pickable extra outcome, giving them persona bonds and unique traits The mod has not been extensively play tested, so balancing is probably way off as of writing this. Please leave any feedback in the comments below, and I'll do my best to get to it! [b][u]UPDATES:[/u][/b] [u]2021-08-15[/u] - Hotfix for Blood Thirst scaling (hopefully?) [u]2021-08-10[/u] - Added a new weapon: The Bone Club. This club is weaker but faster than a regular club, and while bloodlinked it gives the Brutal Strikes trait, reducing pain by 50% as well as offering a +6 to melee accuracy - Added integration for [i]Rimworld of Madness - Bones[/i]. Bone weapons will now incorporate the RoM bones into their recipes - Added integration for [i]Jewelry[/i]. Bone charms will occupy appropriate accessory slots instead of the previous utility slot [b][u]Known issues:[/u][/b] [b]Blood Thirst stacks affect all weapons of the same type globally[/b] This is unfortunately a really hard problem to solve due to how rimworld calculates weapon damage, but I hope to be able to iron it out over the coming weeks. [b]Shadow step is missing sound effects[/b] Yep! I'm no sound designer, so for now I've left it quiet until I can figure out a tasteful way of slapping some sfx on it. [b]Charm of Protection makes shield belt sounds and is affected by EMP[/b] Indeed it is, since it's technically little more than a re-textured shield belt. For the sounds, see above. As for the EMP, I think that's a reasonable way of balancing it until I come up with something more creative. [b]Compatibility/Patches[/b] As far as I'm aware, there are no known conflicts. I haven't tried CE myself, but I could see it causing some issues so try at your own risk.
