Refined Stone

[img]https://i.imgur.com/ki1CPZe.gif[/img] Extract steel from stone chunks at the stonecutter's table or any crafting spot. How much you get, and what else you find, depends entirely on your crafter's skill. Any colonist can attempt it. There are no hard skill gates, but low-skill crafters will struggle. ── SKILL-BASED YIELD ── Skill 1-7: Risky. Only a 12-87% chance of producing anything at all. Even on success, yield is reduced. Skill 8-11: Guaranteed output. Base steel plus a small random bonus per chunk. Skill 12-15: Better yield, and a chance to find traces of gold (12%), jade (10%), or uranium (8-11%) in the stone. Skill 16-17: Higher yield. Gold 15%, jade 15%, uranium 11%. Skill 18-19: Gold 20%, jade 17%, uranium 14%. Skill 20: Peak output. Gold 25%, jade 20%, uranium 18%, with the largest possible amounts. ── RECIPES ── Extract steel x1 — 1 stone chunk → 10+ steel (scales with skill). Extract steel x3 — 3 stone chunks → 30+ steel (bulk, more XP per session). Accepts: sandstone, granite, limestone, slate, and marble chunks. ── MOD SETTINGS ── All changes apply instantly, no restart required. Yield sliders (0% to 1000%) for steel, gold, jade, and uranium, set to 0% to disable a material entirely, or crank it up for a more generous game. Drop chance caps (0% to 100%) for gold, jade, and uranium, leave at 100% to let skill fully decide, or lower it to restrict how often bonus materials appear. Live previews in the settings menu show exactly what each slider produces at different skill levels before you commit. Requires Harmony.
