BACKGROUND
The OMUA Tug130 Tugboat is a 20 m azimuth stern drive vessel built for powerful and precise towing operations. Featuring engageable tractor-style propulsion, it offers exceptional maneuverability when handling barges and heavy loads. Powered by two large marine GTC engines, the Tug130 reaches speeds of up to 30 knots, combining strength with mobility. The rear deck includes a heavy-duty towing winch, a RAT crane, four UniCon cargo slots, and a deck-mounted ABM RHIB for rapid response operations, while the reinforced bow allows secure barge attachment. A modern wheelhouse provides advanced control and visibility, with a crew living area below that includes two bunkrooms and an infirmary, making it a capable and well-equipped support vessel.
