Barrett Corporation's Logistics Division proudly presents the TMBS (Three Modular Buoy System), or ‘Tims’ for short: a bell-shaped, triple-configuration buoy designed to assist mariners in navigating hazardous waters across the vast oceans of Stormworks.
This buoy is 10.3% heavier than our previous iterations, thus improving stability in high-load environments and in-turn, its efficiency in severe weather conditions. The TMBS features a simplified, ‘click-and-forget’ auto-anchor system and is supplied with three preconfigured light modes: Red (Port), Green (Starboard), and White (Navigation).
All lights operate at a standard Fl 2s interval, in accordance with the Canadian Coast Guard Light List.

Light Mode | How-To-Use
To activate the buoy, simply press the "Activate Buoy" button on the platform to drop the anchor. The anchor will automatically sink until it hits a surface, then retract for 0.3s, resulting in a stronger tether that keeps the buoy upright and prevents surface drift under heavy winds.
Use the buoy type keypad to set the Light Mode:
1 - Red (Port)
2 - Green (Starboard)
3 - White (Navigation)
Note: The anchor must be connected for the buoy's Light Mode to work. Once you hear the buzzer, the anchor is set, and you can change the Light Mode.
Maintenance Mode | How-To-Use
Before performing maintenance, the technician must de-press the ‘Activate Buoy’ button and manually raise the winch. Once raised, the ‘Buoy Power’ breaker may be opened to isolate power, ensuring safe maintenance without electrical hazard.
Note: Power isolation is not required for hoisting the buoy from the water.

Reading Data From The Buoy
The buoy is equipped with multiple sensors to help determine the following data:

Wind Speed - Configurable in ms, kph, mph, and kts

Air Temperature - Configurable in Celcius and Fahrenheit

Humidity

Rain

Buoy GPS X

Buoy GPS Y

Wind Direction
All data is sent through radio transmitters, on the frequency 537, starting on composite channel 20 through 27 respectively.
