🕹️ [b]Circuit breakers automatically switch off and stop power surges (⌁Zzzt⌁) from reaching batteries[/b].
⚒️ Circuit breakers come with 10 fuse clips. After 10 triggers, they will break and need repair.
🪢 Line fuses don't require components, but are destroyed after a single trigger with a little emp flare.
🔎 You need to [b]research Machining[/b] to build circuit breakers, [b]Batteries[/b] to build line fuses.
📍They should be placed at [b]choke points[/b] along power lines before they connect to batteries or generators.
[b]⚡ Don’t Cross the Wires ⚡[/b]
❗ If there's an [b]alternate path[/b] to your batteries without a circuit breaker or fuse, [b][i]the power surge will take that route[/i] (literally short circuit)[/b] and cause [b]mayhem ☠︎︎[/b].
❗ Beware of the [b]wires[/b] between a circuit breaker and a battery. To minimise the risk, avoid using long wires in protected areas. (Check the screenshots.)
[b]⚙ Mod Settings ⚙[/b]
[b]⚙ Hidden wires and powered equipment can now ⌁short circuit⌁ too[/b]; toggleable in settings.
[b]⚙[/b] Fuse consumption, battery drain, damage, breakdown risk, and notifications can be customised from the mod settings menu.
[b]⚙[/b] For a smooth update, a small check runs on map load to replace old breakers with updated ones. It’s safe and fast, but you can disable it in mod settings if no longer needed.
[b]🧩 Compatibility[/b]
● Safe to add to existing saves.
● Removing with circuit breakers on the map causes a one-time error; saving again will clear it.
● [b]Not compatible[/b] with other short circuit mods like RT Fuse.

🧱 Circuit breakers are made to be placeable on rocks, dirt, [b]walls[/b] and gravship hulls. [b]If you can't, but want to, please make sure:[/b]
[b]☑ You are not trying to place them on existing cables, power elements or other stuff that might overlap.[/b]
[i]💭 I know the wall-placing logic and the textures aren’t perfect for wall placement. But this is the closest I could get to making them [b]both ground and wall placeable, because I don’t like clutter.[/b] If you’d like it any other way, feel free to make a mod for it and share.[/i]
