XA30 Conf 2 Experimental Rocket Strafer
The XA30 Configuration 2 was an A30 modified to be used as a testbed for downward firing rocket launchers.
The forward armament was removed and the tail armament replaced with a 4 shot rocket launcher like on the Conf 1, however instead of 20mm cannons this aircraft was fitted with two batteries of 75X 4 shot rocket launchers, for an insane total of 600 rockets.
Armament: 150 downward firing rocket launchers in the fuselage with a total of 600 rockets, 1 4 shot rocket launcher in tail.
Engines: 2 X32 diesel engines.
Crew: 4, 1X Pilot, 1X Flight Engineer, 1X Radio Operator, 1X Navigator.
