Hello I am here with more ways to ruin your colony.
This time, it's a mod that allows you to adjust the temperature. When you enable the temperature adjustment in the mod options, it will create a game condition that changes the temperature by your selected value. You can end this game condition when you're bored or when everyone is dead - whichever comes first.
This works by adding a permanent game condition to your current map. It only affects the map you trigger the adjustment on and it does not change the biome. It's very similar in function to a heat wave or a cold snap, only permanent, and the temperature shift is determined by you.
There are no safeguards on this for weird behavior due to the temperature. Think of it like a debug tool and use at your own risk.
Expect a large lag spike when you first trigger the adjustment if it's an extreme value as everything catches up to the new temperature.
Temperature Adjustment
A flat value between -300 and 300 is applied to the map's temperature.
Cycle Adjustment
An adjustment up to 300 degrees is applied according to season. Summer and winter get the full adjustment, spring and fall get half.
Ex: you add an adjustment of 100 degrees.
Spring: +50
Summer: +100
Fall: -50
Winter: -100
Have fun!
Compatibility
This mod is safe to add to games.
If you remove the mod, make sure you don't have a game condition running.
Issues
If there's an issue just follow standard bug reporting procedures. Send me a log and a description of what was going on when the error happened.
The more information you can give me, the more likely I'll be able to figure out how to recreate it and fix it. If I can't do that... then you're stuck with the bug, sorry. Help me help you.
Additionally, if you encounter any weird behavior because of the extreme temperature, this is not something I can fix. This mod only shifts the temperature. Everything else is handled by RimWorld.
