Air Rifles (Deprecated)

This mod isn't compatible with the new version of LTS Ammunition and didn't make much of an impact in my own games so I won't bother updating it. Air Rifles have been around for centuries first as weapons of war and later as tools used by settlers as they colonised North America. A fitting series of weapons for Rimworld. Unfortunately Air Rifles fell out of favour and became tools for competitions and backyard plinking thanks to their terrible penetration compared to increasingly powerful conventional firearms. These Air Rifles are no different. With armour penetration values in the single digit range these are a poor choice against an armoured foe and a death sentence should a mechanoid show up. However, air rifles also have their advantages, a shorter warm up and cool down thanks to reduced recoil, lower material costs and a universal ammunition which works with rifles of all tech tiers. The historical rifles also pack a bonus to hunting as was their real life use thanks to no muzzle flash and reduced sound profile. You'll need LTS Ammunition for these, it's necessary to add an additional dimension of difference between these and any other better gun you could be using instead. Speaking of gun usage, assuming my tags are right you shouldn't see any of the industrial tier and up rifles from appearing in the hands of raiders. I don't want to nerf your raids with guns an attacker wouldn't realistically choose to invade with. This mod includes patches for Expanded Materials metals and plastics. You can make pellets using multiple metals or plastic and replace some steel in the modern and spacer gun with plastic polymer. This mod also patches the rubber bullet pistol from vanilla expanded non-lethal to accept pellets as ammunition by default.
