The H-50 BUZZARD® airframe is a four-blade, twin-engine, medium-range, medium-lift utility helicopter manufactured by the Stormheed Systems. This airframe design is a spiritual successor from the H-40 Spearhawk. The Buzzard was specifically made to operate safely aboard ships, the most significant modifications are the folding main rotor and a hinged tail to reduce its footprint aboard ships.

A dedicated search and rescue version, the HH-50B, was developed for maritime operations in the Osean Defense Forces. With a basic crew of three, the Buzzard is capable of a wide range of missions including:
× Search and Rescue (SAR)
× Humanitarian Assistance (HA)
× Disaster Response (DR)
× Wildland Fire Suppression (WFS)
× Vertical Replenishment (VERTREP)
× Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC)
The Buzzard has proven to be a multi-faceted helicopter both in combat and peacetime missions. The H-50B airframe is the premier rescue helicopter for the Osea and other nations. Designed to be launched and recovered from ships, it can function as an organic ISR platform while increasing the search/detection range of the vessel.
The H-50B have a similar performance as the H-50A but with an increased range and a new avionics package. These new avionics provide the desired increase in range and capabilities in conjunction with the 2 external fuel points.
As a result, the main differences in the “B” model are:
× New radar (Range 6km) with associated electronic upgrades
× Improved fuel capacity
× Improved range and on-station time
× Additional 1500 Kg of lift on the cargo hook
× Two external hardpoints
