the original author wound up abandoning the game some time ago and the original gearboxes it came with were deprecated making the boat no longer work in classic career due to its 2 gearboxes no longer being in the tech tree. i fixed it by removing those two and replacing it with one after trying two and having it basically getting stuck in reverse. i also redid the cooling system as the engine at idle was nearly constantly overheating.
