[b]Adds a Bionic Jaw, Bionic Lung, Bionic Kidney and Bionic Liver.[/b]
These four body parts, [b]and no other[/b], are specifically chosen because in the current state of the game they cannot be replaced if lost without either harvesting natural organs or using an inferior low-tech replacement (a Denture is akin to the Peg Leg or the Cochlear Implant). No other body parts currently require a replacement prosthetic item because the Biosculpter is an accessible way heal permanent damage to all of them.
The Bionic Liver is added only if the mod [i]Death Rattle[/i] is found. This is because in core Rimworld, losing a liver causes instant death, so replacing a liver is impossible. Death Rattle is highly recommended to add genuine complexity to the game's medical mechanics that is not found in "content" mods such as EPOE, RBSE and [FSF]VBE.
Update: the Bionic Liver is added regardless of mod checks. You don't need me to tell you what you can use or not so I suppose you use your own judgement with this. I hope my intention of only adding what is needed in Core Rimworld is clear however.
The properties of the body parts are identical to those of core Rimworld bionics. Unlike other medical mods, such as RBSE and EPOE, no liberties were taken by adding extra stat modifiers or cheaper recipes than those in Core. The lung and kidney cost as much as the Bionic Stomach, the liver as much as the Bionic Heart and the jaw costs as much as the Bionic Eye. Unlike other medical mods, no core Rimworld Defs were altered whatsoever.
Care was taken to ensure the Bionic Kidney is not superior to the Immunoenhancer. This is because the Immunoenhancer cannot replace a missing kidney, while the bionic Kidney can. In addition, the Immunoenhancer requires special research that the bionic Kidney does not.
These items do not appear in quest reward tables, similar to the other core bionic organs, for the same reason: they are meant as replacements rather than augmentations.
If core Rimworld eventually implements any of these items, they will be removed from this mod.
