TL/DR: It's a mod that adds a winterized version of vanilla plate armor, which has the cold protection of a cloth parka and requires additional materials to craft (75 cloth). And there is a patches for a couple of mods.

In the history of mankind there is enough mentions of use of the thick clothing worn under armor (such as gambeson) - this clothing saved its wearer from freezing, mitigated incoming strikes, prevented corrosion of armor due to contact with sweat of wearer, saved skin from rubbing. Due to all of this, it looks very strange when in the Rimworld you have to choose between plate armour and freezing during winter in a temperate biomes.
As Rimworld has no such a thing as an underarmor layer, i did a little mod that adds a plate armor that comes with warm clothing under it.
