This MOD's focus is to improve the Quality of Life for the Controller player.
[b]NOTE[/b]: Despite its name, the mod is for ANY controller used with the game!
This is a client-only UI Mod, does not change game mechanics, or logic. The mod is safe to add/remove to/from your saves at any time. The Mod is multi-player compatible (but the server needs to have it so the client could use it).
I bought the game to play it on my MacBook Pro M4 and I did not like to have a mouse, but I do have a spare PS5 DualSense controller laying around. So, obviously, I decided to play the game with the controller. However, I found that the controller support in the game is treated as the second-class citizen. This is my attempt to fix the UX issues I stumble upon while playing the game. This is work-in-progress and I am the primary consumer of this MOD. Hopefully, it will make somebody's life easier too.
The list of features is quite long, I am trying to document them in the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3701000695]PS5 DualSense Support Guide[/url], but it is also lacking behind developent a bit.
There are features that depend on the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3619862853]ZombieBuddy[/url] Mod. It is optional to install, but if you want the latest and greatest features to work, you need to install it. The most lucrative features like controller-optimised aiming for melee and firearms rely on ZombieBuddy to be present. If you can donate to the author of that Mod, I would appreciate it very much since it is a cool feature and a lot of effort.
Every feature has a toggle on the dedicated MOD settings page. I am also spending considerable time to check that the features can be turned on and off during the game play.
