Ideology Simplified - Rancher
This mod simplifies the "Rancher" meme into the "Farm Life" meme. No longer the "weird animal-sacrificing anti-vegetable cult", this new version is made for those who love games like Stardew Valley.
- "Ranching" renamed to "Farming"
- Impact changed from "High" to "Medium"
- The meme now has nothing to do with diet preferences. Be a vegan farmer if you want!
- Dropped the mandatory animal sacrifices and symbol burning
- For the crop lovers, this meme unlocks the Animals AND Plants Specialist Roles.
- Moodlets based on the number of animals dropped.
- Stat offsets changed to give small bonuses to both plants and animals.
Why did you make this mod?
I love the idea of Ideology, but in its current state, I find it very restrictive. This is especially true when playing multi-ideo colonies. My hope is to make Ideology simpler, with a focus on rewarding the player rather than restricting or punishing them. Each meme should be exciting in its own way.
Doesn't this make the game too easy?
I don't think so. But that's ultimately up to you.

This mod is a simple XML patch. It should be compatible with most mods.
