Built around the newly developed 120mm M8A2 mortar, the platform offered heavy indirect firepower while retaining the logistical strengths of the base vehicle. The large chassis allowed the crew to carry up to 120 mortar rounds, enabling sustained bombardment without immediate resupply. To protect the crew and improve survivability under fire, the driver's cabin was fully enclosed and a .50 caliber machine gun was mounted on the roof for self-defence. The vehicle saw its greatest success during the Alaskan campaign, where the mortar’s high explosive payload proved invaluable in mountain terrain and against fortified Japanese positions. Its ease of reloading and rapid setup made it a favorite among mortar crews. However, the heavy ammunition load and reinforced chassis made the M15A2-120 noticeably slower than its base model. It became a priority target for counter-battery fire once the firing positions were triangulated by japanese artillery crews, forcing the Mortars to constantly relocate after firing, and even that wasnt enough sometimes because of its slow nature
Stats and Features

Size: 7m x 2.25m x 3.25m
Speed: 30kph
2 seats in the front, more seating space in the rear
120mm Mortar, 218 rounds of ammo
1x 50.cal on turret mount over the front, >1000rds of ammo

Startup Procedure

Start Ignition
Pull Out Choke for around 3 seconds
Disable and then reenable Ignition
Press Starter until engine runs

Further Notes - Front suspension is a bit wobbly sometimes, be careful when going off road - it has Mouse aim steering - the Choke enables a fuel pump, if you stall, or you notice the engine is about to stall you can press it to semi turbocharge the engine and help it. But only for a short time About the Project The Pacific Front is an Alternate History Project about the time from the 1940s through to the 70s in a time of turmoil, war and desperation. It focuses on the countries around the pacific ocean, like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Russia, China and a lot more. All the the project vehicles are fictional in nature and have their own story, lore and design. The Projects creations have a tendency for high fidelity, decoration and multi crew operation.
