M11 2.5Ton Supply Truck
History
The M11 2.5-Ton Supply Truck was the logistical backbone of the American war effort, introduced in 1941 and produced in staggering numbers—over 300,000 units by the end of the conflict. It became the standard medium cargo truck for Allied forces and fulfilled nearly every imaginable support role: fuel and ammo transport, troop movement, field kitchens, mobile workshops, radio platforms, even makeshift ambulances.
The 2.5-ton rating often proved conservative—units regularly overloaded M11s without major issue. Its powerful gasoline engine and simple mechanical layout ensured it could be maintained in the field with minimal tools or spare parts.
The M11 could be fitted with canvas coverings for all-weather use, and saw both open and enclosed cab versions. A standard feature on many variants was the addition of side-mounted tool racks and under-bed storage compartments. Some models mounted pintle .30 or .50 caliber machne guns for convoy defense, especially later in the war.
Serving from the rear echelons to the very edge of the frontlines, the M11 became a familiar sight in every theater. Itremained in service well into the 1950s before being gradually replaced by the M35 2-ton series.

About the Project
The Pacific Front is an Alternate History Project about the time from the 1940s through to the 70s in a time of turmoil, war and desperation. It focuses on the countries around the pacific ocean, like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Russia, China and a lot more. All the the project vehicles are fictional in nature and have their own story, lore and design. The Projects creations have a tendency for high fidelity, decoration and multi crew operation.
