The world ended, but the machines are still here. Find a broken desktop in an office, haul it back to base, and solder it back to life. Jeeve's Personal Computer turns a corner of your safehouse into a functional 90s-era workstation — arcade games, training courses for every non-physical Build 42 skill, a digital book library, skill recording that survives your death, data recovery, and PDA-driven hacking. All on craftable hardware with a three-tier upgrade path and a new IT Specialist profession.
On the horizon: a Satellite Uplink peripheral that extends the PC beyond the safehouse walls — more to come.

Build Your Own PC
Every computer can be built from scratch. The crafting chain runs from lead extracted from bullets, through soldering tools and electronic components, to a working desktop on your workbench. Recipes are learned from the PC World magazine.
Place it on a flat surface, connect to power, sit down, and right-click or press V.
- Three upgrade stages — Monochrome, Color (+5% XP), Enhanced (+10%, premium games, DiskPart, Data Recovery, Book Scanner)
- Full parts progression — solder wire, Video Cards, RAM, CPUs, Blower Fans, blank floppies, PDAs
- IT Specialist profession — +2 Electricity, Tech Savvy, all recipes known
- Tech Savvy trait — +15% data recovery XP, full virus immunity

JEEVES OS 1.0
Boot a PC and you don't get a menu — you get a desktop. JEEVES OS is a fake 90s operating system with icons, windows, and six applications that react to whichever floppy you've inserted. It's the backbone of everything that comes next.
- Full desktop environment — movable windows, status bar, eject button, floppy-drive awareness
- Six built-in apps — Arcade, Library Reader, Book Scanner, Skill Recorder, Data Recovery, DiskPart
- PC session lock — one player per desktop at a time in multiplayer
- Extensible architecture — designed for continued app and peripheral growth

The Arcade
Eleven playable games ship on floppies. Six classics on any PC: Pong, Breakout, Snake, Tetris, Space Invaders, Asteroids. Four premium zombie-themed titles on Stage 3 only: Zombie Runner, Dead Maze, Horde Defense, Zombie Racer. The eleventh is Bunker Breach — a top-down wave defender with four playable classes. High scores sync to the server. A Wolfenstein-inspired FPS is in development.
- 6 standard games — every PC tier
- 4 premium games — Stage 3 only, zombie-themed
- Bunker Breach — class-based wave defense on a hand-designed bunker map
- Server-side high scores — leaderboards persist across sessions

The PDA
The PDA is a battery-powered handheld that carries JEEVES OS into the field. Find one as rare loot, or craft it from the PC World PDA Edition magazine.
- Portable Library Reader — resume a book you started on the desktop
- Skill recording and recovery — no desktop required
- PC hacking — extract data from vanilla computers in the world
- Door hacking — bypass security doors via a waveform-matching mini-game
- Built-in games — Snake and Minesweeper on the LCD

Peripherals
Peripherals are craftable tile objects that extend what a PC can do when placed beside a Stage 3 Enhanced computer. The first is the Book Scanner — digitizes paper skill books into Library Disks.
In development: the Satellite Uplink — a new peripheral class meant to reach past the safehouse walls.
- Book Scanner — scans paper skill books into digital Library Disks
- Recipe — Electricity 4, taught by the PC World Magazine
- Placement — within one tile of a Stage 3 Enhanced PC
- Upcoming: Satellite Uplink — early-stage design work

The Disks
Four disk families drive nearly every PC interaction. Training disks are standalone courses — 87 lessons across 29 skills in three tiers, with articles and quizzes. Library Disks hold scanned skill-book content, up to five tiers per skill. Personal Data Disks record your skills so a new character can recover your XP after death, cross-compatible with JeevesJournals. Corrupted and encrypted disks drop from zombies — run Data Recovery at a Stage 3 PC, but watch for viruses and negative traits.
- Training Disks — 87 lessons, 29 skills, 3 tiers, fully translated EN/JP
- Library Disks — scanned skill books, up to 5 tiers per skill, readable on any tier
- Personal Data Disks — record skills, recover XP after death
- Corrupted / Damaged / Encrypted Disks — loot-spawned recovery targets with virus risk
Sandbox Settings
81 configurable options covering disk spawn rates, training XP, skill caps, per-skill toggles, data recovery, virus mechanics, Book Scanner and Library behaviour, hacking, PDA, loot weights, and boredom/happiness multipliers.
Languages
English and Japanese. Set language=JP in PZ options — covers all UI, sandbox settings, tooltips, all 87 training-disk lessons, and PDA app strings. Community contributions welcome.
Multiplayer & Compatibility
Fully multiplayer compatible — high scores, skill recording, data recovery, hacking, and all ModData are server-authoritative.
JeevesIntegration is recommended but not required; it adds the V-key radial menu. Without it, right-click works standalone.
LW Better Electronics users: this Workshop item bundles an opt-in sub-mod adding 66 crafting recipes for LWBE items. Add JeevesPC_LWBetterElectronics to your Mods= line alongside JeevesPC. Do not enable it without LW Better Electronics — your server will fail to boot.
