Floatopia
Somewhere along the water, long after the world fell quiet, something kept going.
Floatopia wasn’t built all at once. It grew — barge by barge, plank by plank — tied together by whatever people could find, fix, or drag out of the river. What started as a few survivors holding onto the water became something more… a functioning settlement.
Walkways connect a network of barges, each serving a purpose. Trade flows through the market decks, where tents and patched structures house vendors selling what little remains of the old world. Food is grown on floating farm barges, while services, repairs, and daily life continue in the heart of the settlement. A dense residential barge rises above the rest, stacked with makeshift homes, narrow paths, and shared spaces where people try to live something close to normal.
At the edge of it all, two old steamboats still floats — no longer what it once was, but repurposed like everything else. Nothing here was meant to last, and yet it does.
Floatopia is a place of trade, shelter, and uneasy safety — held together as much by effort as it is by hope.
