A simple patch that allows for Comigo's Majestic Trees to be built as props using Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Props and Decor. No more opening Rimworld to several red error lines of "___ tree has not been found"!
Also apparently fixes a compatibility issue between Majestic Trees and Dubs Mint Menus. This wasn’t an intentional fix on my part, but it’s good to hear regardless!
Now with more Majestic trees and variations and a couple of new research projects to unlock them
This is a pretty basic patch; I haven't built in features of Majestic Trees like leaves falling off in winter nor the mouse-over transparency. If this gets enough attention and there's enough demand, I will try and figure out how to implement that feature for these props.
Other than the (temporary) lack of a transparency feature, all the props look just like full grown versions of the real Majestic Trees, shadows and all! They also line up now, see second screenshot.
I imagine that most people are probably here just for the bug fixes — which is totally understandable (it’s literally the only reason I made this mod in the first place) — but I figured I might as well generate some low stakes content too as a bonus. As long as those features don’t introduce new bugs, of course!
Update: I'm pretty close to figuring out the transparency feature, just having some issues getting the offset textures to align properly. I didn't want to delay this update any longer though, so look out for that in the next one. The prop trees changing their appearance with the seasons is probably NOT coming as a feature since these are buildings and not plants, so entirely different def rulesets apply. As a compromise, I added leafless versions of the tree props that have them.
Compatible with 1.3. May be compatible with earlier iterations of RimWorld as well, but I didn't test for this.
This patch also adds compatibility with OwlChemist's great Perspective: Buildings mod, allowing you to nudge the prop trees around and mirror their appearance. It isn't required to use this mod, but I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a bit more variety and control.
