The Messenger - Montrian Snow
[i]Description[/i]
The Messenger-class is one of the lightest warships of the Montrian Sovereign Navy. They were constructed to fulfill the roles of auxiliary forces: escort, reconnaissance and transportation. Beside assisting the fleet, they are also sent on far stations for sole duty.
An enclosed gundeck and comparatively large armament for their displacement allows them to pack quite a punch, but it comes at a cost of a stable, but heavily listing and heaving platform, as well as not being particularly fast, so their interception ability is fairly limited.
During their service, it was found out that the Messenger-class ships are severely overweight when fully armed, so the broadside was shortened by 1 and stern chasers were removed.
In the Sovereign Navy ranking , the Messenger-class is a 6th-rate.

Length: 24 meters by the Gundeck.
Beam: 7.75 meters.
Draught: 2.5 meters.
Mast Height: 22.25 meters.
Maximum speed: 12 knots @ 20% wind.

20 guns: 7+3 per broadside.

[i]Operation[/i]
[b]Sailing[/b]
Find a handle in front of the tiller, controls are labelled.
When Sailing close to the wind, it is recommended to switch to Manual Sail [2] and swing the yards hard over to continue sailing at speed.
[b]Firing[/b]
Find a handle of either ship's broadsides.
Press [1] and wait for guns to roll out.
Hold [Trigger] to fire a salvo.
Press [2] and [3] to close firing on the Weather Deck and Gundeck respectively.
