RimScent
RimScent adds a simple but immersive sense of smell to your colonists. Now, pawns actually react to the scents around them – whether it's the smell of fresh rain, a cozy campfire, or the stench of a filthy hospital. Explore what the mod has to offer, we'll leave that feeling of discovery to you!
How It Works
Pawns will gain small mood buffs or debuffs depending on what they are standing near or what’s happening on the map. The mod uses a priority system, so their mood won't be cluttered with 10 different smells; they only notice the most dominant one nearby.
Certain types of headgear also affect a pawn's ability to smell. For example, cloth masks decrease the smelling sensitivity of a pawn by 50%. Odyssey's Vacsuit helmets decrease the smelling sensitivity by 100%, and so on.
The health of a pawn's nose also affects their ability to smell. Noses with damage aren't able to smell things as well, and if a pawn has no nose, they won't be able to smell at all! Royalty's aesthetic noses slightly improve a pawn's ability to smell.
New Traits
RimScent adds 3 new traits:
Anosmic: Pawn has no sense of smell. While they cannot enjoy pleasant aromas, they are also completely immune to foul odors, smoke, and biological stenches.
Keen Nose: Pawn possesses an unnaturally sharp sense of smell. They are twice as sensitive to all smells.
Dysosmic: Pawn's olfactory system is wired backwards. They find the smell of rot, filth, or smoke strangely alluring, while fresh rain or clean air makes them feel uneasy.
Compatibility & Performance
Safe to add to existing saves, probably safe to remove but rule of thumb: you shouldn't remove mods once you add them.

Supports Dubs Bad Hygiene
Supports all of Vanilla Expanded
