Living Weapons

Living Weapons (alpha) Have you ever wondered how famous weapons got their names? What happens when a sword is drenched in blood over thousands of battles? Why some get cursed or others blessed? What is a soul? And can our trusty weapons have them? Anyway, not sure about all of that. Here's a mod that makes weapons improve over time and eventually evolve to have better stats. When you kill a lot of humans, mechs or insectoids, you get some nice buffs to help kill more. Just get in a lot of fights against all kinds of things? You got some better damage. Shoot a lot? Same thing, get some ranged buffs. Even just for regular skills, a trusty knife companion while out in the field cutting plants. A reliable pistol at your side while mining in the mountain. Shotgun medics are covered too. Your weapons are with you the whole way. But that's not all. If you get the right combination of weapon evolutions, you can unlock secret paths (or go look at the defs I'm not your dad... probably) that unlock powerful buffs (and possibly debuffs) [hr] I have attempted to keep this mod as compatible with other mods as possible, as well as specific patches and considerations here and there for mods that come to mind, the evolutions may not work for every weapon, but all weapons should work with combat related evolutions at least. [hr] Disclaimer 1 - Balance is probably ♥♥♥♥♥♥, look at the mod settings to increase the experience and progress multipliers. - You can turn off visual effects, I have kept these to player pawns only for max TPS. So far only the players pawns can get weapon progress. - Any feature requests, please leave below. Disclaimer 2 This mod is currently in alpha - there will be bugs, balance changes and possible breaking updates. Few mod combination have been tested, so incompatibilities may occur (hopefully not though). If you run into any issues, odd behaviour or mod conflicts, please leave a comment below and I'll look into it. Disclaimer 3 I used AI to fill out the evolutions which is why the descriptions are mid. But its like 2000+ lines of XML, I wasn't gonna do that to myself.
