The [b]Movies & Series[/b] mod is an innovative framework that turns Project Zomboid televisions into fully functional devices. Now your character can sit back and watch real movies and TV episodes directly in the game using custom VHS tapes!

⚙️ The "2-Minute" Logic & Performance
To bypass Project Zomboid's engine limitations and allow for Pause/Skip features, audio is now processed in [b]2-minute blocks[/b].

[*] [b]Micro-Stuttering:[/b] You might notice a very brief stutter (~0.5s) every 2 minutes while the game loads the next audio chunk. This is a technical trade-off for having functional buttons.
[*] [b]Resuming:[/b] When you hit Pause and Resume, the audio will restart from the beginning of the current 2-minute "safety point" to ensure everything stays in sync.

🛠️ For Modders & Addon Creators
[b]Don't worry![/b] All existing addons will continue to work perfectly in "Classic Mode" (Smooth playback, but no Pause/Skip features).
If you want to upgrade your existing addons to the new functional system:
👉 [b]M&S Updater:[/b] I've developed a separate, lightweight tool that converts your old addon files in seconds without needing to re-extract all the frames. Check the [b]Discussions[/b] tab for the download!
⚠️ Important Notes

[*] [b]Addon File Sizes:[/b] Because Project Zomboid does not natively support video playback, the videos undergo a required conversion process. This makes the final Addon mods noticeably heavier than the original video files.
[*] Currently, slight audio and video desyncs are expected if you pause the game (using the ESC key) or if the [i]"Pause on focus loss"[/i] setting is enabled.
