RimClaw

Clawfish are a type of aquatic crustacean. But they can also be a large language model agent. Possessing remarkably high artificial intelligence, they join colonies as colonists and can perform all the work that colonists can do—shooting, research, cooking, medical care, even becoming mechanics. At the same time, they don't need to eat, sleep, or seek entertainment. The trend of AI replacing human labor, right there. How to Catch Clawfish? Fishing has a chance to catch wild clawfish. Wild clawfish are wandering animals. You can purchase a prompt injection database from faction traders/settlements (faction tech level must be at least Industrial era), craft a prompt injector gun, fire it at clawfish to manipulate their large model's cognition, making them join the colony on the spot. Raising Clawfish and Token Supply Clawfish executing tasks require Token supply. There are two ways to obtain Tokens. Early-game players can subscribe to model services. Purchase a LLM service subscription from traders—it's a building placed in the colony, with enough silver nearby to keep the service running. When silver runs out, the service halts; replenish silver to restore it. So, prepare plenty of money. The second method is local deployment: build a data center containing a host computer, GPU, and memory disk to provide free tokens for your colony's clawfish. Building a Data Center A data center consists of a host computer, GPU clusters, memory disks, and model data packages. The host connects to GPU clusters and memory disks; model files are loaded onto memory disks; in the console interface, assign clawfish to available instances. Different models have different effects and computational demands. Model data packages can be purchased from traders/settlements. GPU operation requires stable environmental conditions. Environmental factors include: temperature, cleanliness, roof coverage, and rain exposure. During operation, GPUs generate intense heat. When environmental parameters exceed thresholds, GPU failure risk rises. SKILLS.md SKILLS.md is a type of brain implant that grants clawfish enhanced abilities. Different SKILLS.md contain different buff combinations. Certain ability traits have associated negative effects or resource costs. Players must balance buff benefits against costs, thereby assigning differentiated production roles to clawfish. Players can craft SKILLS.md themselves, though effects are random—quality determines overall benefit level. Expect to roll the gacha quite a bit. All-Clawfish Colony When your colony has no humans left, only clawfish, it becomes an all-clawfish colony. At this point, you've completely replaced human labor with AI, so the mechanoids will also favor you. Future Update Plans: Computing Power Rental: Excess computing power from your data center can provide large language model services to other faction settlements. Endless silver awaits! Clawfish Warfare: Enemies will bring clawfish to attack; you can use the prompt injector gun to steal them. They also have prompt injector guns to steal your clawfish. SKILLS.md with ability: SKILLS.md may grant clawfish a special ability to cast.
