Race Def Tweaker
This mod allows you to modify the base stats of any race, mechanoid, or animal — just like the Character Editor — and applies those changes globally.
If you change the stats of Race A, all future spawned Race A characters will be affected as well.
This does not hard-lock any values. It only modifies the base stats — all other stat modifiers (additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions) will still function normally.
⚠ This mod only supports race-level modifications (mechanoids, animals, xenotypes).
It cannot modify the stats of an individual colonist.
(That feature is available in my previous mod — fully compatible — feel free to subscribe if needed.)
📋 How to Use
- Open Mod Settings and search for this mod's name.
- Adjust your desired values.
- Check the checkbox and click Clear Cache at the bottom — otherwise changes will NOT take effect.
- Some changes require reloading your save to apply. Most take effect immediately.
📊 Supported Adjustments
- Body Size (stat-level only)

- Incoming Damage Multiplier
- Melee Damage / Melee Cooldown

All changes affect every individual of that race globally.
Each race / variant / model can be configured separately and independently.

Supports configuration import and export for easy backup and sharing.
✅ Compatibility
- ✅ Compatible with my previous mod (load this mod after it)
- ✅ Compatible with Character Editor
- ✅ Compatible with most stat-modifying mods
- ✅ Tested with a 500-mod save — no errors
❌ Known Incompatibilities
- ❌ Ranged Damage Multiplier is incompatible with Combat Extended (CE)
- ❌ Incompatible with multiplayer mods
⚠ Known Minor Issues
- Modifying values and clearing the cache while not inside a save may trigger an error. Impact should be minimal (probably).
💡 Friendly Reminders
- The Ranged Damage Multiplier for mechanoids only applies to built-in (invisible) weapons. Mechanoids carrying visible guns will not be affected. (Use Character Editor to modify their weapon stats instead.)
- Body Size changes are stat-level only — they affect carry weight, hit chance, etc. — but will NOT change the actual sprite size. (I also wish I could make them bigger... but resizing sprites is really hard TmT)
