SkyWizard Extension Pack-Ballistic Defense Initi
Extension Module for the SkyWizard Modular Multi Vehicular Air Defense System.
Background: The Ballistic Defense Initiative, inspired by the Reagan era Strategic Defense Initiative is a fictional 2026 program across the US and allies such as the UK, Japan, Saudi Arabia and other allies to design missiles and sensors for defense against ballistic missiles. The first system to be joined in this upgrade program are the MIM-104 Patriot and SkyWizard Air Defense Systems. Both the Patriot and the SkyWizard has shown satisfactory results against various types of ballistic missiles such as the Iskander. For this part of the program, the focus in on the SkyWizard. Rivals aim to exploit the weaknesses of the SkyWizard. To prevent this exploitation, the SkyWizard will be upgraded to use more dedicated anti-ballistic missiles in order to suppress the current weaknesses of the SkyWizard, making it harder to exploit the weakness. Additionally, the crewmembers are extensively trained to intercept ballistic missiles at the right time and angle. In-game, crewmembers prefer to use single target track since chaff can disrupt targeting. By using STT mode, crewmembers can manually lock into a target when they drop chaff.
This extension of the SkyWizard aims to upgrade the SkyWizard's capabilities of ballistic missile interception. New upgrades include a vertical facing radar (FVR) called the GR-EV (Electronically scanned, vertical facing) that can detect targets directly above the anti-air. This makes top down attacks easier to stop since opponents wants to exploit the 45 degree limitation of the SkyWizard's detection angle by doing top down attacks(The VFR is not a target acquisition and designation system(TADS), the VFR is a radar extension used for the main TADS vehicle by adding it to the TADS instead of replacing it). By adding 45 degrees, it creates a dome where the target will always be on the watchful eye of the radar operator. There is no way to be undetected. The next capability upgrade are fast missiles, though they are separated into 2 types of missiles.
The first missile is the CMAI-ER. This is a significantly lengthened and larger in diameter missile. It is specifically designed to stop ballistic missiles, either by a head on or by chasing them. While it can be used to destroy aircraft because they have little time to dodge a missile that goes 972m/s fast, it is not primarily for that, it is made to intercept ballistic missiles as fast as possible. At 972m/s, this is the game's speed limit of 1000m/s where functional missiles faster than that will break. Even as a surface to air missile, it can be mounted on specific fighters fast enough to climb to the altitude of a ballistic missile to intercept it where the SkyWizard can't. It also has a maximum range of 43KM. It possesses a semi-antichaff radar which help prevent it from locking into chaff.
The second missile is the WormWolf. This is a very large missile, much larger than some missiles like the SA-2 Guideline and far larger than the CMAI-ER itself, it carries an EMP warhead instead of a traditional explosive warhead. Instead of directly hitting the target, the missile is expected to detonate on a proximity fuse distance of 250 meters. So, no matter if the ballistic missile tries to dodge or fly sideways, it will get disabled. It doesn't aim to permanently destroy the ballistic missile, just disable it long enough for it to crash somewhere else. This missile is made for the toughest ballistic missiles that attempts to evade the SkyWizard in every way possible. It is also 972m/s fast due to it being near the game's speed limit which prevents it from going faster than 999m/s or it will just simply break. Currently, there's no way to shield ballistic missiles from EMP effects, even using a relay/electrical breaker switch won't reset it. It also has a maximum range of 44KM. It possesses a fully chaff resistant radar making the effects of chaff useless.

1) Just connect the Vertical Facing Radar first to the rest of the "Daisy Chain Firing In" of the rest of the TEL vehicles. This way, you can both get radar data to the main TADS vehicle and at the same time, fire the launchers remotely.
2) The WormWolf is different from the rest as it is a towed launcher due to it's massive size that makes it impossible to be carried by any ordinary western truck. Just disconnect the towed launcher from the HEMTT vehicle and deploy it like any other TEL vehicle. You can also do daisy chain firing as well.

Known Problems: Sometimes there might be lots of noise when using the vertical facing radar and sometimes, the WormWolf may not always activate it's proximity fuse, but don't worry, the missile will turn back to it's target. Despite it's massive size, it has lots of maneuverability. The CMAI-ER also possesses lots of maneuverability that allows it to turn back to the target incase it misses.
