Pull-tab Cans! Pull-tabs or stay-tab cans were introduced in 1962 and were first on pop cans in 1964. Despite being an earlier invention from the 1950s by American inventor Anthony Bajada it was wasn't popularized and innovated upon till the 60-70s. As of the late 90s and early 2000s pull-tabs were adopted into American culture were an icon of most can lids being used daily by millions.
