The FR-185 Barracuda is a high-speed offshore rescue craft designed for rapid response in coastal and offshore emergencies. The Barracuda combines speed, manoeuvrability, and practical rescue equipment to respond quickly when every second matters.
At 20 metres in length, the Barracuda is capable of extremely fast deployment while still carrying the equipment required for real rescue operations. A spacious stern working deck allows crews to recover casualties from the water, deploy rescue equipment, or assist damaged vessels.
The vessel is equipped with a stern recovery platform, rescue winch system, and a portable pumping unit capable of removing water from flooded or sunken vessels. This makes the Barracuda particularly effective in salvage support and emergency damage control situations.
A powerful fire monitor mounted on the foredeck allows the vessel to assist with firefighting operations at sea or in harbour environments.
Designed to operate both independently and alongside other NSR assets, the Barracuda works as a rapid-response platform supporting larger rescue vessels and aircraft during maritime emergencies.
