Dougcraft P19F O-SAR Rescue Seaplane
BACKGROUND
Built by Dougcraft Avionics, the P19F Seaplane is a larger amphibious variant of the rugged P19 platform, designed for demanding coastal, river, and island operations. Measuring 12 meters in length and fitted with reinforced twin floats, the aircraft provides stable water takeoffs and landings even in challenging conditions. Powered by a single nose-mounted propeller driven by a supercharged 16-cylinder diesel engine, the P19F delivers strong and dependable performance. Its advanced cockpit features autopilot, flight stability systems, radio, and radar, supporting safe and efficient flight with airspeeds exceeding 140 knots. This particular unit is operated by O-SAR, the Search and Rescue division of OMUA, and is specially outfitted for lifesaving missions, carrying medical gear, a medical bed, and other emergency rescue equipment to support rapid response in remote maritime environments.
