PzMrs-11 "Keiler" | Federation of Reiss Self-Propelled Mortar
Unit: 2nd PzGrBrig, 202nd Brigade Mortar Artillery.
Conflict: Second Aethelian War (Year 933).
Start of production year: 911.
Historical Note
During the Second Aethelian War, the PzMrs-11 proved invaluable in providing immediate, decentralized fire support for the fast-moving mechanized infantry. Stripped of the FLW turret to accommodate the heavy 120mm sGrW-12 mortar system and ammunition racks, this variant relied entirely on its exceptional mobility and integrated countermeasures for survival. Operating just behind the vanguard, PzMrs-11 crews utilized the DPKK datalink to receive real-time targeting data directly from forward TPz-11 units.
With a maximum range of 4.2 km and precise GPS-assisted targeting, the two-man crews - where the driver doubled as the loader - could deliver devastating indirect fire before rapidly displacing at up to 120 km/h. This extreme "shoot-and-scoot" capability nullified San-Laurelian counter-battery efforts. Although the limited 29-round magazine and restricted 60 km operational range required strict fire discipline and constant logistical link-ups, the PzMrs-11's surgical accuracy and sheer speed made it a critical asset in breaking entrenched enemy positions along the Kael River.
