MOD Description:
The mechanoid main core relies on countless sub-nodes working in unison to command the entire mechanoid collective. So why are human mechanitors limited to inefficient point-to-point control?
Through extensive research into mechanoid technology, colonists have successfully modified the Mech Control Core, allowing mechanoids themselves to equip bandwidth components. These mechanoids can now assist human mechanitors by sharing node-control workloads and acting as powerful command relays.
Based on this breakthrough, two new mechanoid commanders and one new mechanoid implant have been developed.
Mechanoid Implant — Bandwidth Coordination Module
An information-processing device converted from a Mech Control Core. Like the original core, players may issue commands to order mechanoids to install this module.
Functions:
-Grants the installed mechanoid a bandwidth component.
-Allows the mechanoid to command other mechanoids via right-click orders, acting as an independent coordination node.
-Enables mechanoids to operate outside the mechanitor’s command radius, with no distance limitation.
-Installed mechanoids can independently execute high-level orders and lead caravans without a human mechanitor present.
-Ensures stable psychic linkage with the mechanitor; psychic sensitivity remains at 100%.
-Provides 6 bandwidth capacity by default.
-Bandwidth can be expanded via advanced chips, up to a maximum of 100 bandwidth.
Mechanoid — “Hermit”
An experimental mechanoid commander equipped with high-power data transmission systems. Designed as a command relay node for developing colonies.
Unlocked after researching Standard Mechanoid Technology.
Features:
-Limited bandwidth capacity.
-Can independently lead caravans and operate outside the overseer’s control range.
Mechanoid — “Justice”
A mechanoid commander purpose-built for large-scale mechanoid swarm command. Equipped with a specialized, enhanced Bandwidth Coordination Module, its overall command capability can surpass that of standard human mechanitors.
Unlocked after researching Transcendent Mechanoid Technology.
Features:
-Fully inherits all functions of the Bandwidth Coordination Module.
-150 maximum bandwidth and 5 control groups.
-Continues commanding mechanoids even while incapacitated.
-Can synchronize its own buffs to controlled mechanoids.
-Mechanoids under its control groups gain access to special buff-providing behavior modes.
-Can perform most tasks normally restricted to human mechanitors, including:
-Mechanoid gestation
-Summoning mechanoid bosses
-Repairing mechanoids
-Capable of standard manual labor, including crafting and smithing.
-Supports work priorities and forced work orders, just like colonists.
-Can wield human weapons, participate in caravan trading, and lead trade expeditions.
-Can independently pilot shuttles and use comms consoles.
-When a mechanoid’s skill exceeds its panel skill level, it will attempt to synchronize the skill to the panel value.
Additional Content
This mod also adds a crafting recipe for the Mech Control Core, making it easier to produce Bandwidth Coordination Modules.
