The Gladiator - Montrian Ship of the Line
[i]Description[/i]
The Gladiator-class is a Montrian 80-gunner. The ultimate result of Sovereign Navy's "One and BIg" doctrine.
They are undoubtedly the largest in the Navy and on the entire Distant Frontier.
These ships of the line vastly outgun any warship a Colefordian Empire could pull up against them, possessing an incredible tanking ability, and lacking any kind of sensible speed, despite the gargantuous rigging.
Due to their sheer construction and maintenance price, the Montria is barely capable of upkeeping them, and they struggle to navigate the rather shallow areas around the ports of the Frontier. The Sovereign Navy has been divided into three fleets: the Northern Fleet, the Southern Fleet, and the Home Defence Fleet. each one except the Southern fleet are led by a pair of Gladiators.
The Gladiator herself is the flagship of the Montrian Northern Fleet, commanded by a talented admiral who hasn't lost a single battle since he's put his flag on the Gladiator.
In the Sovereign Navy ranking, the Gladiator-class is a 3rd rate.

Maximum speed: 11 knots @ 20% wind.

[b]Sailing[/b]
Find a handle on the left side of the helm, controls are labelled.
When Sailing close to the wind, it is recommended to switch to Manual Sail [2] and swing the yards hard over to continue sailing at speed.
[b]Firing[/b]
Find a handle of either ship's broadsides.
Press [1] and wait for guns to roll out.
Hold [Trigger] to fire a salvo.
Press [2], [3] and [4] to close firing on the Weather Deck, Upper and Lower Gundecks respectively.
The stern and bow chasers are mouse-aimed.

The ship is designed to function only on Medium or High physics setting!
