The AIM-70000 is a 4.5 ton infrared guided missile powered by a solid-fuel rocket engine.
It is [i]extremely[/i] impractical in A2A, unless you are shooting a very large bomber. Which is ironic for being a really big AIM-7. But it's good in A2G.
