Endless Harvest – Regrowth Farming Overhaul (Build 42.16+)
I noticed there aren’t many mods that really focus on crop regrowth, and the ones that do either don’t fully work or feel a bit off. So I figured… alright, I’ll just make one myself. After a good amount of testing, breaking things, fixing them again, and repeating that cycle way too many times, I finally got it working exactly how I wanted.
The goal here wasn’t to reinvent farming or make it overpowered. I just wanted something that feels natural, smooth, and actually fits into the vanilla system without being weird or glitchy.
What This Mod Does
- Crops are no longer destroyed after harvesting
- After harvesting, plants reset to an early growth stage (stage 2)
- Crops regrow naturally over time just like normal
- Removes the need to constantly replant crops
- Plants no longer rot — once they reach the final growth stage, they loop back to stage 2
- Fully integrated into the vanilla farming system (no weird replacements or hacks)
Balance & Design Philosophy
- Crops do NOT instantly return to harvest-ready
- Plants still grow through all normal stages
- Keeps the time investment intact while removing the repetitive grind
- Prevents farming from becoming an instant infinite exploit
- Designed to feel like it could’ve been part of the base game
Basically, you still have to wait… you just don’t have to keep replanting like it’s your full-time job.

- Works on Build 42.16+

- Compatible with most mods
- May conflict with mods that directly override farming or harvest logic
Notes
- Existing crops may not update properly — newly planted crops will work best
- Any crops that have already died or fully broken may need to be replanted

I mainly made this because replanting over and over started to feel more annoying than fun. This keeps farming useful, rewarding, and a lot less tedious without turning it into some instant resource generator.
Also, I do have a full-time job and a 1-year-old, so updates might not always be instant, but I’ll keep doing my best to maintain and improve the mod over time.
