JR-35H 'CICONIA'
The JR-35H 'Ciconia' is a purpose-built search and rescue helicopter. It features two powerful turbine engines, linked to a coaxial rotor system. It is equipped with a medical station and harness, along with powerful spotlights for rescue operations.
Operations
The JR-35H is a purpose built rescue helicopter. it features a near-perfect position hold, capable of holding position in even the most extreme winds. it is also equipped with a medical bay and various rescue equipment, including a harness and an aimable spotlight for low-light operations.
Passenger Capacity
The JR-35H comes default with 8 passenger seats, a medical bed, two observer's stations, and a copilot/pilot seat, for a total capacity of 13 people. These seats are arranged along the walls to maximize internal cabin space and make movement throughout the cabin easy.
Operation Manual
1. Startup
1. Main Breaker... ON
2. Fuel Pump... ON
3. Rotor brake... DISENGAGED
4. Engine 1 Master... ON
5. Open Throttle... 25%
6. Engine 1 Starter... HOLD UNTIL RUNNING
7. Engine 2... REPEAT STEPS 4-6
2. Safe Harness Operation
For unloading, set the harness arm all the way in, and all the way up. This should allow you to drop directly onto the platform. If the harness is caught in the door while closing, simply swing the arm out slightly, close the door, the swing the arm back in.
Notes
-Made for Alistair's Rescue Helicopter build challenge.
-Still heavy WIP. Avionics are not yet implemented, but are coming soon.
-No autopilot. Might add it in a future version but don't bet on it.
-The custom rotor REQUIREs high physics. If you have any trouble with the rotors getting stuck (especially the bottom), let me know.
