Machine de sauvetage is a vintage style search and rescue helicopter capable of various missions types such as fire fighting, heavy duty lifting and hauling, search and rescue missions and scouting.
The vehicle was constructed as a test of a new kind of air born propulsion by the French. and with 4477 liters of onboard fuel it can take you pretty far to perform whatever task you have set before you as it is fairly fuel efficient, it has a top speed of around 80 knots if the sandbags are dropped.
FIRE FIGHTING
The helicopter features a large water tank below the cockpit in which there is 1440 liters of water ready to be deployed at a moments notice.

if you wish to refill this tank you'll need to make your way down the stair to the lower deck where you'll find a control panel to the water buoy, use the controls to lower the buoy down into the water making sure the entire buoy is submerged. Once it is fully below the water line activate the pump, you should then see the dial with the water level start to rise.
TOWING WINCES

The helicopter is equipped with four strong winches on the lower level of the helicopter, these can be controlled with a small panel near the stairs leading to the flight deck. Ropes can be found before and after the two cabins on the lower deck.
SEARCH AND RESCUE
The main purpose of the Machine de sauvetage is rescue missions, with it's durable landing gear and can land on land and even hold itself stable at sea with some help from the altitude hold feature.
The helicopter comes with seating for 9 people (including the pilot) and equipment to support them all, medkits and defibrillators can be found below the pilot seat, there's also a fire extinguisher and a welding torch nearby.
Ontop of these features there's also two rescue harnesses at the rear of the vehicle, along these theres two small platforms for getting easy access onto and off the helicopters lower deck, if you need access to the sea without risking the rotors the large rear ramp is perfect for this reclining far enough down to reach the sea in rough conditions.
START UP PROCEDURE

[*] Open the throttle to full.
[*] Turn the starter crank at the rear of the engine until you hear the electric starter engage.
[*] Set clutch to full.
[*] Startup complete.

SANDBAGS
The sandbags weigh the helicopter down, drop them and you'll slowly move upward if you don't drop them you'll instead slowly drift downward.
