Ahoi, Kameraden!
In early-1934, the Patlandian Großadmiral & HiCom expressed their concern for the lack of any heavy surface combatants in the fleet. Thus, starting the new ship class named after the 1910s Admiral v. Roon. The Roon class Panzerkreuzers we're all laid down in 1935, new keels for the Roon and Lützow in the Patlandiawerft-Dockyards supported by the Fuchs Heavy Industries.
The hulls we're both completed in late-1936, and commissioning began and lasted all the way to mid-1937. Then the two ships were to be put into action, starting their careers in late-1937 and serving all the way until WW2 ended in 1945.
