the SS Aurthur B Homer was built in 1959 At River Rouge Michigan for the Bethleham steel corperation and her home port was Wilmington Delaware meanwhile her sister ship the Edmund Fitzgerald was built in 1958 for the Olgebay Norton Company also at River Rouge Michigan but the Aurthur B Homer retired in 1980 at Erie Pennsylvania before being scrapped at Port Colburn Ontario Canada in 1986
